Several Washington counties have reported technical difficulties and outages with the state’s 911 service provider.
The disruptions, which appear to have been mostly resolved, spanned from western Washington to eastern Washington.
Kittitas County
The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office reported that the issue was resolved as of 5 p.m.
“Issue is resolved, 911 is functioning properly as of 5 p.m.,” the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office wrote on Facebook.
Around 4:30 p.m., the sheriff’s office wrote that the state’s 911 service provider was experiencing technical difficulties.
Those unable to reach emergency services in Kittitas County can call the Kittcom non-emergency line at 509-925-8534.
Whatcom County
The Whatcom County Sheriff’s Office posted an alert on Facebook.
“Whatcom County is experiencing a disruption to 911 services,” the alert stated.
Those unable to reach 911 in Whatcom County can dial 360-676-6911 to reach the 911 dispatch center directly.
Kitsap County
The Kitsap County Sheriff’s Office noted there have been reports of 911 services being down statewide. Anyone having issues reaching 911 in Kitsap County can call 360-307-5844.
Asotin County
Asotin County posted an update at 5:19 p.m., saying the alert is no longer active.
“911 services have been mostly restored,” Asotin County Emergency Management stated on Facebook. “Emergency callers should attempt to call 911 first, and if unable to connect, text 911 or call 529-758-2331.”
Pierce County
Pierce County officials confirmed to KIRO 7 that the outages appear to be a statewide issue.
The county’s non-emergency line’s automatic system said it was experiencing a high volume of calls, according to KIRO 7.
The non-emergency number is 253-287-4455.
Whitman County
Whitman County Sheriff’s Office announced via Facebook that 911 is working again for the area.
“Good news! 911 is working again,” the sheriff’s office stated. “If you have a non-emergency to report, please call 509-397-4341.”
The service was down for around an hour.
