FRIDAY

COMEDY

Xavier Smith and Friends
No sports fans, Rams’ wide receiver Xavier Smith doesn’t do comedy in his spare time. This is Seattle’s Xavier Smith; the one who spent the past year playing professional basketball in Greece (insane lore) and is now back home for “one night only” to headline Laughs Comedy Club. As both an athlete and performer, Smith’s unique brand of comedy draws from the unique overlap between the two main parts of his identity, combining personal stories, observations about life abroad, and the awkward realities of relationships and adulthood. And because this is a homecoming of sorts, the whole thing kicks off with a laid-back pre-show patio happy hour to both celebrate Smith’s brief return. LANGSTON THOMAS
