LIVE MUSIC

Fremont Fridays Summer Music Series
Alert the group chat: Fremont Fridays are back! Now in its fifth year, the totally free and community-organized “underground fest” brings live music and entertainment to multiple venues across the neighborhood for 12 Fridays in a row. I caught the first one this summer and the vibes were electric! From giant beer pong to freestyle rap sessions and Fremont Fridays founder/Marshall Law Band leader Marshall Hugh hyping up the audience and encouraging everyone to say hi to a stranger, the night reminded us what it feels like to find joy in art and community. Several blocks of the neighborhood absolutely come alive with rollicking live performances, intimate jazz sets, World Cup watch parties, stand-up comedy shows, and DJ dance parties. Stay in one place or wander about—you simply can’t go wrong! SHANNON LUBETICH
