FORM’s Smart Swim Goggles Named to TIME’s Best Inventions of 2026

Must Read

Vancouver-based FORM has earned a spot on TIME’s Best Inventions of 2026 list for its Smart Swim 2 PRO goggles, bringing international recognition to the company’s augmented reality swimming technology.

Featured in the Sports & Fitness category, the TIME selection highlights goggles that bring performance data and coaching directly into a swimmer’s field of vision, alongside navigation assistance for open-water training.

Techcouver covered the Smart Swim 2 PRO’s launch in July 2025, when FORM introduced Corning Gorilla Glass 3 lenses to improve scratch resistance and optical clarity.

The PRO model combines that durability with real-time metrics, heart-rate tracking, HeadCoach virtual coaching, and the company’s SwimStraight navigation feature. Together, those capabilities help swimmers monitor and adjust their performance without interrupting a session to check a watch or consult a training plan.

The recognition comes as FORM broadens its product lineup beyond its premium offering.

Earlier this year, the company introduced the entry-level Smart Swim 2 LT, aiming to make its coaching technology accessible to more swimmers. The LT guides users through structured sessions, including warm-ups, rest intervals, and cool-downs.

FORM was founded by Dan Eisenhardt, who previously sold Vancouver wearable technology company Recon Instruments to Intel in 2015. The company also ranked among Deloitte’s 2025 Technology Fast 500.
