Genuine Skagit Valley (GSV) launches its Farmstand Fresh summer season today, July 1. In addition to celebrating local farms, it offers virtual access to chefs from the region for helpful kitchen inspiration.

The program, which supports Skagit Valley farmers and producers as well as their future viability, represents products grown exclusively in the Skagit Valley.

“From blueberry ice cream sandwiches (using fresh-picked blueberries from the oldest family-run blueberry farm in the valley) to juicy red, ripe Heirloom tomatoes, to scratch-baked goods, we cannot think of a better way than our Farmstand Fresh program to showcase the farm stands and working farms of Skagit Valley,” said Blake Vanfield, marketing manager
