Twelve local mayors will be joined by a number of a representative of the Office of the Governor, elected officials, candidates, families and community members Thursday, Oct. 8 to talk about “fentanyl, addiction, accountability and solutions.”
Battlefield Addiction is hosting “Hey Bob! We Need Your Help,” at 7 p.m. at the Kent-Meridian High School Performing Arts Center, 10020 SE 256th St. Doors will open at 6:30 p.m. and the event will begin at 7 p.m. Due to limited seating, registration is necessary at battlefieldaddiction.com/heybob.
“We’re bringing families, community leaders and elected officials together in the same room around the issue of fentanyl in our communities,” said Angie Dahlen, Battlefield Addiction director of Family Support & Engagement.
Battlefield Addiction is a Kent-based nonprofit organization that teaches families and communities how to “intervene and guide loved ones into full recovery and independence.”
Art Dahlen, founder of Battlefield Addiction, will lead an open panel discussion with the participating leaders.
A large number of government and community leaders are slated to attend, with brief remarks from Kent Mayor Dana Ralph, Issaquah Mayor Mark Mullet and Normandy Park Mayor Eric Zimmerman.

Robert Boenish, Ph.D. will attend as a representative of the Office of Gov. Bob Ferguson, along with state Rep. Chris Corry (15th Legislative District), Rep. Travis Couture (35th Legislative District) and Rep. Jim Walsh (19th Legislative District).
