Best in Show: Schack Art Center’s Annual Juried Exhibition Opens in Everett

Must Read

This spring, Everett’s Schack Art Center opened Present Tense: 24th Annual Juried Exhibition. A longstanding tradition, the show will feature pieces from artists working in a range of mediums, including painting, sculpture, glass, ceramics, printmaking, photography, and mixed media.

“We select emerging artists and those with well-established practices,” says Schack’s marketing and communications manager, Aaron Sheckler. “The goal is to create a dynamic exhibition that reflects a wide range of voices, experiences, and stages of artistic development.”

To give participants the most opportunity for inspiration, “our curator and guest jurors approach the show as an open platform,” Sheckler adds, “allowing the exhibition to become a snapshot of what artists are exploring in this moment.”

Present Tense: The 24th Annual Juried Exhibition runs through August 22 at Schack Art Center.
