Conexeu Launches R&D Facility at M4 to Innovate Wound Healing Tech

Conexeu Sciences, a preclinical-stage regenerative tissue platform company, has opened a research and development facility in Vancouver.

The Nevada-born innovator, which trades on the Nasdaq as CNXU, is opening the R&D facility within adMare BioInnovations’ M4 Innovation Centre.

AdMare BioInnovations—which utilizes commercial expertise, specialized R&D infrastructure, and seed capital to support life sciences companies and industry-ready talent—announced the official opening of the M4 Innovation Centre in April.

Developed with financial support from the Government of British Columbia and the Government of Canada through PacifiCan, the 30,000-square-foot M4 Innovation Centre provides wet lab space for early-stage and growing life sciences companies.

“These wet labs provide the space and equipment companies need to move from research to commercialization,” commented Ravi Kahlon, Minister of Jobs and Economic Growth.

The centre features turnkey wet labs, office and collaboration space, shared scientific equipment, and a flexible design that can evolve as companies grow.

At the core of Conexeu’s platform is its patented CXU device candidate, a biomimetic extracellular matrix scaffold designed to serve as the foundation for tissue regeneration.

The technology, in development for more than a decade, is delivered as a flowable liquid at room temperature, allowing it to conform to irregular wound geometries—and, as it warms to body temperature in 10 minutes, CXU transitions in situ to a gel-like matrix that integrates with native tissue and supports consistent healing across complex surfaces.

Moving beyond repair into regeneration, CXU is designed to support the biological conditions necessary for the body to restore new tissue, according to a statement from the firm.
