The 31st season at Emerald Downs in Auburn came to a close Labor Day weekend as another season came to pass, which had notable performances up and down the race sheet.
Silvio Amador wrapped up his impressive 2026 season with a win on Tiosimage in the third race on Sept. 7, giving him 68 wins in 47 days at Emerald Downs.
Adrian Castellanos finished second in the standings with 60 wins and Kevin Krigger rode two winners on Sept. 7 to take third in the rider standings.
Creative Om went wire to wire in the biggest race of the final day, winning the $30,000 Carrots and Cupcakes race. Castellanos was the jockey of the favorite in the race with Howie Gibson as the trainer for the race-winning horse.
With the win, Gibson won his first title as trainer at Emerald Downs with 33 wins this season.
In the biggest race of the weekend, Robin Racer took home the $50,000 prize purse in the Muckleshoot Tribal Classic for 3-year-olds and up on Sept. 5 . Frank Alvarado was the winning jockey, running a 1:41.33 coming from last place to win the race.
Robin Racer is the third 3-year-old to win the race since being held at Emerald Downs and the 11th in the 84-year running of the race. Robin Racer also secured its spot as the most successful horse at Emerald Downs this year with a 5-2-0 record in nine starts.
In the Muckleshoot Tribal Distaff, Tipitap ran down Aloha Breeze and was the first 3-year-old to win that race in the 31-year race. Tipitap most recently won the Washington Oaks on Championship Sunday at Emerald Downs and has now won two consecutive stakes races.
Tipitap was claimed for $50,000 back in April in Santa Anita and now has two stakes races in one season. Her record in eight starts is 2-0-1 with $64,275 in earnings.
Aloha Breeze improved her career mark to 16-5-1 in 24 starts with career earnings of $426,400. At Emerald Downs Aloha Breeze has won 14 of her 20 starts, which is No. 1 all time in stakes wins by an older filly with 10 wins. She has four wins in 2026 at Emerald Downs.
