A large tree is blocking both directions of US 101 in Clallam County.
The Washington State Department of Transportation first reported the tree around 11 a.m. Friday. It fell at milepost 224 near the La Poel Picnic Grounds.
Around 12:30 p.m., WSDOT said the tree is blocking the road in the Lake Crescent area.
“The highway is closed until further notice while we work to remove the tree,” officials stated.
There is a detour in place through SR 112 and SR 113.
