Canadian organizations may be eager to adopt artificial intelligence, but finding the capital to turn AI plans into working systems remains a challenge.
An upcoming virtual event from MacKay CEO Forums aims to help business leaders better understand the funding landscape and prepare for new opportunities emerging from Canada’s federal AI strategy.
Taking place on September 23rd, AI Funding in Canada will feature Nicholas Ning, CEO of Farpoint Technologies, an AI strategy and technology company that helps organizations implement AI and measure the resulting business outcomes.
Farpoint worked alongside the Government of Canada on the development of its federal AI strategy, giving Ning firsthand insight into the country’s priorities, funding direction and expectations for organizations seeking support.
During the one-hour briefing, Ning will offer an inside look at what the federal strategy means for Canadian businesses and discuss how new AI funding and grant programs are expected to roll out.
The session will also cover practical steps organizations can take now, best practices for strengthening funding applications and the growing importance of demonstrating a measurable return on AI investments. Ning will also introduce Farpoint’s AI return-on-investment dashboard technology.
The focus on results reflects a theme Ning explored in a recent interview with Techcouver.
Ning argued that many organizations have invested heavily in AI strategies and pilot projects without moving into production, where the technology can begin delivering meaningful value.
“An AI strategy that never ships is a cost, not an investment,” Ning told Techcouver.
Farpoint’s measurement platform, Lattice, is designed to help address that gap by comparing AI deployments with existing workflows across efficiency, effectiveness and employee enablement.
Ning believes this kind of measurement will become increasingly important as boards and executives demand stronger evidence that AI spending is producing tangible results.
