UPDATE: Man found dead in Enumclaw suspected of killing five in Oregon

6:50 p.m. UPDATE: The Washington County Sherriff’s Office in Oregon has confirmed the body of murder suspect Benjamin Charles Parker, 36, was found dead in Enumclaw this afternoon.

Parker was a suspect after five people and “several domestic animals” were found killed on Aug. 22 in unincorporated Washington County outside Forest Grove after a vehicle fire was reported.

ORIGINAL POST: The Enumclaw Police Department is on-scene with a dead body behind the Safeway with the King County Sheriff’s Office and the Washington State Patrol.

The EPD received a call about the victim just before 2 p.m.

The victim reportedly took his own life prior to officers arriving.

The EPD has yet to put out an official statement, but nearby resident Noah Moses said he heard the shot.

“[I] didn’t see it go down, but looked through the window after I heard that sound, and [officers] all approached, slowly but surely after a while, and they had drones out,” he said.

The King County Medical Examiner is on their way.
