Hi friends,
You know that joke that starts, “What happens when five theatres walk into a bar together?” Okay, okay, we might be stretching that one.
But seriously, did you know that The 5th Avenue Theatre, The Moore Theatre, The Paramount Theatre, Town Hall Seattle, and Union Arts Center (formerly ACT Theatre) are all part of Seattle’s Downtown Historic Theatre District?
We’re incredibly proud to be stewards of these historic homes, all of them listed on the National Register of Historic Places. They’re beautiful buildings, yes, but more than that, they’re places where Seattle has gathered for generations — to be entertained, challenged, surprised, moved, and sometimes simply to have a really great night out.
And in a city that changes constantly, there’s something pretty special about that.
When you come through the doors of any of our theatres, we hope you feel like you’re stepping into an experience you won’t soon forget. Maybe it’s a civic conversation at Town Hall, a locally produced musical at The 5th, a podcast at The Moore, a concert at The Paramount, or a play in the round at Union Arts. Each space has its own personality, its own history, and its own way of bringing people together.
We’re proud of what each of our organizations brings to Seattle, and we’re excited about what we might create together. Stay tuned for more partnership, more ways to connect, and more reasons to visit each of these theatres.
Take a look at what’s coming up across all five theatres. Pick something familiar or try something completely new. We’d love to see you there.
See you soon,
