Local nonprofit Rainier Athletes will host its second hour-long virtual town hall session May 21.
The discussion, set for 5:30 p.m., will take a deeper look into the climate of today’s youth sports organizations. It will particularly emphasize the exclusion of groups like women and youth within BIPOC communities and how this exclusion has been exacerbated by the COVID pandemic.
The talk will feature a panel of sports professionals including “The Voice of The Seattle Kraken” Everett Fitzgerald, football player KJ Wright, and Seahawk sideline reporter Jen Mueller.
Registration includes dessert from Bellevue’s Ascend Prime Steak and Sushi.
All proceeds benefit the Rainier Athletes’ mission to provide fair treatment
