The director of “Basic Instinct” is telling his side of the story regarding the 1992 film’s infamous leg-crossing scene.
Months after Sharon Stone alleged that she was misled into filming a scene with her private area was exposed, director Paul Verhoeven responded to her claims in a Variety interview published Wednesday, saying his recollection is “radically different from Sharon’s memory.”
In the scene, Stone’s character Catherine Tramell uncrosses her legs revealing up her dress, sans underwear.
“Her version is impossible,” Verhoeven said, though acknowledging that he still has a “pleasant relationship” with Stone.
