if Ever there were a time to jump on a reservation drop, it’s now, in the weeks leading up to Mother’s Day. The alternative? Perhaps a panicked grocery run and slim pickings in the meal department. So leave the Mother’s Day prep, service, and cleanup to the experts slinging local fare and snag a spot at a Seattle institution


Cafe Flora

8am–2:30pm | $65, $25 kids 

The light, cozy Madison Valley spot upgrades its usual vegetarian weekend brunch to a swanky three-course menu: Start with berry-topped beignets and continue with lavender pistachio French toast or the veggie-forward pupusas before capping the meal with a strawberry pavlova or rhubarb cornmeal upside down cake. 

Carrello 

11am–2pm | $65, $35 kids

The Capitol Hill Italian restaurant revives a niche tradition just for brunch: the two-course meal arrives at each table by way of a special cart. Ricotta-stuffed brioche French toast and an elaborate cured king salmon are among the choices.

Cedar and Elm

10am–2pm | à la carte or $90 buffet

The Lodge at St. Edward’s resident restaurant boasts dry tonkotsu udon, a mushroom frittata, and wagyu brunch burger in two festive brunch seatings. In the hotel’s ballroom, a $90 buffet awaits for the all-you-can-eat celebrators.

Charlotte Restaurant

10am–2pm | $97, $45 kids

Perched above Elliot Bay, downtown’s bustle, and the iconic Smith Tower, the views from the Lotte Hotel’s Charlotte Restaurant are second only to the three-course Mother’s Day brunch. This year’s menu stars a coconut pandan French toast, pan-seared Alaskan halibut, and an outright decadent dessert buffet. 

De la Soil

10–11am | à la carte

Copperworks Kenmore’s farm-to-table kitchen concept whips up a Mother’s Day brunch starring warm sopapillas, carnitas-filled breakfast burritos, and lamb shakshuka. The restaurant sits right on the Burke-Gilman Trail, perfect for a post-brunch walk.

Elliott’s Oyster House

11am–4pm | à la carte

Oversize windows and patio seating take advantage of the waterfront location; dockside, Mother’s Day diners are treated to seaworthy menu specials from a smoked salmon benedict to king crab quiche. 

Goldfinch Tavern

9am–2pm | $140, $35–65 kids

Brunch is all about the buffet at this waterfront restaurant: The app bar holds seasonal favorites while the dessert buffet boasts ginger-orange crème brûlée and blueberry parfaits. In between, entrées range from the decidedly brunch (eggs Florentine) to the almost dinner (lamb rack). Plus, moms kick off the meal with a festive spritzer. 

Smith Tower

10AM–1:30pm | $80, $30–55 kids

Inside the downtown landmark, a three-course prix fixe brunch pairs with celebratory cocktails. Meal reservations include access to the historic exhibits and 35th-floor Observatory for the architecture and history nerds among us.

Ramie

10am–2pm | à la carte

Trinh and Thai Nguyen add specials to their usual brunch offerings for the holiday: shrimp croissant benedict, com tâm, bánh mi châo, and more. The meal ends with a  dessert tower fit for the occaision, and sunny cocktails keep things bubbly throughout.

Ray’s

10am–9pm | à la carte or $110 Buffet

Choose your own adventure at the Sound-side restaurant with epic Olympic views. The first-floor Boathouse serves up Mother’s Day specials alongside the tried and true brunch and dinner menus; a $110 brunch buffet services the try-it-all types upstairs.

Rione XIII

10am–2pm | $39, $15 kids

Waterways Cruises

11am | $116

Mother’s Day hits the waters of Lake Union and Lake Washington on a two-hour cruise complemented by an elevated brunch buffet, complete with a made-to-order omelette station. Everyone gets bubbly upon boarding, and the captain points out landmarks along the journey. 

Westin Bellevue

9am–2pm | $129, $39 kids

Delicate place setting details and pastel florals give this Eastside Mother’s Day brunch the air of whimsy. A family photo booth captures the day, a live string trio adds a touch of class, and a creative herb spritz station creates customizable cocktails.
