Arlis Ceretti, the Woodmark Hotel’s food and beverage director, is sharing a specialty drink recipe that’s made extra swoon-worthy with a simple, homemade rose syrup.
Dried rose petals are a common ingredient in herbal teas and to flavor desserts; it adds a lightly perfumed sweetness that’s subtle and hints at the promise of spring. Use the extra syrup to add to plain seltzer water, mix into yogurt, or to make more Red Rose Cocktails, as its effervescent, fragrant taste is hard to resist.
