State Route 18 will have a lane restriction near Tiger Mountain from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sept. 10, 11, 13 and 14.
One eastbound lane will be open during those times, and drivers should plan for extra travel time. Freight traffic should use westbound SR 169 to northbound I-405 and then use northbound I-405 to eastbound I-90, or other suitable alternate state routes.
The closure is related to the upcoming widening of SR 18 from Issaquah-Hobart Road Southeast to Deep Creek. During the closure, crews will be surveying the area. Construction on the project is not projected to begin until summer 2030.
A similar single-lane closure on westbound SR 18 will last six nights starting Sept. 15.
Additionally, a full closure of eastbound SR 18 will occur nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. for six nights beginning Wednesday, Sept. 23.
