July 4th grocery and drugstore chains: Albertsons, Trader Joe's, Kroger, Aldi, CVS are open; Costco is closed

Must Read

If you need another pack of hot dogs or burger buns for your July Fourth barbecue or another ingredient, you have plenty of options Sunday.

The majority of grocery store chains will be open for the holiday, which commemorates the passage of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776.

Walmart, Target, Publix, Kroger and Albertsons are open as are drugstore chains,  including CVS, Rite Aid and Walgreens. But most pharmacies will be closed or operate with limited hours.

Trader Joe’s, which closed for the holiday in 2020 amid the COVID-19 pandemic, is opening its stores this year but will close early at 5 p.m.
