The PGA Awards is set to celebrate Mindy Kaling with a prestigious honor. The prolific screenwriter, actress, producer, and writer has been named as this year’s recipient of the Guild’s Norman Lear Achievement Award. The Hollywood Reporter confirmed the news.
Given in recognition of a producer or producing team for their body of work on the small screen, the award counts Shonda Rhimes (“Grey’s Anatomy,” “Bridgerton”), Marta Kauffman (“Friends,” “Grace and Frankie”), and Amy Sherman-Palladino (“Gilmore Girls,” “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel”) among its previous honorees.
Kaling will receive the award at the 34th annual PGA Awards, set to take place February 25.
