Daisy Edgar-Jones will “Feel the Earth Move” with her lead role as the Carole King in Sony’s “Beautiful.” Variety reports that the musical biopic of the legendary singer-songwriter will be directed by Oscar-nominated “The Kids Are All Right” writer-director Lisa Cholodenko.
“Daisy has a spirit and energy that I recognized as myself when I was younger,” King said. “She’s a tremendous talent and I know she’s going to give a great performance.”

“Nanny” director Nikyatu Jusu is moving from the horrors of the mind to the horrors of the flesh with her upcoming “Night of the Living Dead” sequel. MGM Studios is currently in final negotiations for the worldwide rights to the latest addition of the zombie film franchise. Deadline broke the news.

Variety reports that the Oscar and Emmy winner is set to star in and exec produce “All Stars,” a cheerleading comedy series that has landed a two-season order from Prime Video following a bidding war. “Crazy Ex-Girlfriend” co-creator and “The Devil Wears Prada” scribe Aline Brosh McKenna created the series and will exec produce and serve as showrunner. She’ll also direct the pilot and half of the episodes.

Destry Allyn Spielberg is making her feature directorial debut. Deadline reports that she will helm action pic “Four Assassins (And A Funeral)” for Erica Lee and Basil Iwanyk’s Thunder Road Pictures.
With production slated for the first half of 2023, “Four Assassins” centers on “the adoptative daughter of a legendary assassin,” per The Tracking Board.

One day after Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced a push to investigate alleged harms caused by coronavirus vaccines, Dr. Anthony Fauci, President Biden’s chief medical adviser, criticized the move as a pointless exercise that would only undermine public confidence in efforts to boost and maintain protection against the circulating pathogen.
“We have a vaccine that, unequivocally, is highly effective and safe and has saved literally millions of lives,” Fauci said Wednesday on CNN. “What’s the problem with vaccines?”
