0

LegalZoom is one of those online legal services that in most cases can handle basic legal tasks for you. I recently tried it out to make an LLC for my cosmic country band, Steel Fringe (shameless plug), and it appears to have worked just fine (we’re still waiting on a full evaluation from legal experts for a future guide to these services). If you use a LegalZoom promo code right now, you will get a discount on the service.

I found it super easy to set up my LLC, and after about $500 and 30 minutes of my time, I was off to the races with an LLC for my

Ryne Sandberg, a Hall of Fame second baseman who became one of baseball’s best all-around players while starring for the Chicago Cubs, has died. He was 65.

Sandberg was surrounded by his family when he died at his home on Monday, according to the team.

Sandberg announced in January 2024 that he had been diagnosed with metastatic prostate cancer. He had chemotherapy and radiation treatments, and then said in August 2024 that he was cancer-free.

But he posted on Instagram on 10 December that his cancer had returned and spread to other organs. He announced this month that he was still fighting, while “looking forward to making the most of every day

(MUSIC) Few have had as fabled (or feral) a career as Iggy Pop. Having graced stages worldwide in band or solo form for nearly 60 years, the man, the myth, the bare-chested legend now returns to Seattle to unleash his unrelenting energy at Marymoor Live. For diehard Stooges fans or even casual dabblers in punk iconography, this show will surely be a jolt of raw power. Expect timeless anthems like “Search and Destroy” to solo gems like “The Passenger,” with the godfather of punk behind the chaos of it all. (Marymoor Park, 7 pm, all ages) LANGSTON THOMAS

How big tech plans to feed AI’s voracious appetite for power

0

America’s tech giants are masters of the digital realm. Yet as they bet stupendous sums on artificial intelligence (ai), their ambitions are facing constraints in the physical world. Shortages of chips and data-centre equipment such as transformers and switching gear mean soaring prices and lengthy waits. Just as pressing is access to energy as utilities struggle to match the demands of Silicon Valley. On July 24th President Donald Trump published an “ai action plan” which describes America’s stagnating energy capacity as a threat to the country’s “ai dominance”. How is big tech coping with a worsening power crunch?

The Best Restaurants on Seattle’s Capitol Hill

0

Capitol Hill is the beating, bloody heart of Seattle’s nightlife scene. It’s a historically queer neighborhood and a hub for activism where generations of Seattleites and tourists have gone out to eat and drink, to be seen and people-watch, to party and experiment and go home sometime the next morning.

Capitol Hill’s restaurants are among the best in the whole Pacific Northwest. You have Italian staples Spinasse and Artusi and the famed fine dining spot Lark alongside newer additions to the Seattle dining canon, like Grayson Pilar’s MariPili Tapas Bar and LTD Edition Sushi. Because there are simply so many restaurants to choose from here, this is not a complete

Phillies’ Bryce Harper cursed at commissioner in heated clubhouse meeting, per report

Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper dropped an f-bomb on Major League Baseball commissioner Rob Manfred in a heated confrontation last week about a potential salary cap, ESPN reported Monday.

An irate Harper reportedly got in Manfred’s face and told him to “get the f– out of our clubhouse” if he wanted to discuss such a sensitive economic issue.

Manfred replied that he was “not going to get the f– out of here,” insisting it was important to talk about threats to the league’s business and ways to grow the game, sources told ESPN.

Other players tried to defuse the situation and Harper and Manfred shook hands after the meeting, but Harper would

Deion Sanders reveals bladder cancer diagnosis, now ‘cured’ after surgery

Colorado University football coach Deion Sanders disclosed Monday that he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of bladder cancer but after surgery his oncologist considered him cured.

Dr Janet Kukreja, the director of urologic oncology at the CU Cancer Center/UCHealth University of Colorado hospital, said Sanders had his bladder removed as part of the surgical plan due to the high recurrence rate of this form of the disease.

“I can’t pee like I used to pee. It’s totally different,” Sanders said, adding that he lost 25 pounds at one point in recovery, with a new bladder formed from parts of his intenstine.
