A two-bedroom in Lake City or a U District studio?

Welcome to Curbed Comparisons, where we explore what you can rent for a certain dollar amount in the Seattle area. We found six listings within $100 of today’s price: $1,400.

Up in North Seattle’s Pinehurst neighborhood, this one-bedroom backyard cottage rents for $1,400 a month on the dot. The place, which is positioned among some trees, has a decently sized kitchen and comes with one parking spot. No pets are allowed, though.

In Lake City, find two bedrooms for $1,425. It’s 800 square feet, and being a corner unit means plenty of light. The place comes with parking—and it’s just a block off Lake City Way and bus lines—but there’s no word on pets.

This place in Uptown/lower Queen Anne is a 400-square-foot studio, but it’s new construction and comes with in-unit laundry and access to a roof deck. Pets can come; parking is $150 extra but it’s walking distance to downtown and on a ton of bus lines. Rent is $1,450 a month.

Up in the University District, this 370-square-foot studio with a pull-out bed, a balcony, and in-unit laundry rents for $1,425 a month. Up to two under 100 pounds can come, but pet rent is $35 a month. Parking and storage are available, too. There’s a shared roof deck and fitness center shared by the other tenants.

Up in Madison Park—just outside the gate of the posh Broadmoor community—this one-bedroom in a 1950s building features a fireplace and an office nook in 650 square feet of space. $1,450 a month in rent includes heat. It’s right on the 11 line, too. No pets are allowed.

Literally just half a block north the city limits in Shoreline, get half of a pet-friendly duplex for $1,425 a month. The place includes one bedroom, in-unit laundry, and access to a fenced yard where it’s okay to garden. In addition to having “plenty of free parking spaces,” it’s right by transit, too.
