Halle Bailey is ready to be part of your world. A trailer has arrived for “The Little Mermaid,” Disney’s live-action take on the classic 1989 animated feature. Bailey takes on the role of Ariel, an adventurous mermaid desperate to learn more about humans and to escape her domineering father, King Triton (Javier Bardem).
While taking a secret trip to the “above world,” Ariel falls for a human, Prince Eric (Jonah Hauer-King). She seeks help from Ursula (Melissa McCarthy), a sea witch, for a chance to be part of the human world — but Ariel’s dream can only come true if she pays a hefty price.
