Trump Organization chief financial officer Allen Weisselberg turned himself in Thursday after a grand jury in Manhattan indicted the CFO and the organization long managed by former President Donald Trump, a person familiar with the matter told USA TODAY.

The specific charges are expected to be unsealed later Thursday.

Weisselberg is expected to face charges for allegedly failing to pay taxes on fringe benefits from the company, said the source who is not authorized to comment publicly on the matter.

“Mr. Weisselberg intends to plead not guilty and intends to fight these charges in court,” attorney Bryan Skarlatos said in a written statement Thursday.

The charges are part of a long-running inquiry headed by the Manhattan district attorney
